El Jardín is a four-hour drop-off Spanish immersion experience for students TK-8th grade located at the amazing Barnyard Buddies- Miniature Farm and Petting Zoo, in Lakewood/Long Beach. The program studies thematic units, Spanish vocabulary, art, farm animal play, outdoor learning, sustainability, gardening, nature walks, and nature studies — all in a Spanish immersion environment. These are small group classes of up to 14 students per group, led by our amazing Spanish teachers (Head Maestra and Assistant Maestra).
Classes offered on Thursdays and Fridays, 10am to 2pm:
Pequenos (4-5 Year Olds): Students learn new weekly Spanish vocabulary, letters, colors, and numbers; and they enjoy “dirt play,” gardening, farm animal play, art, story time, singing, and dancing — all in a Spanish immersion environment.
Primaria (6-10 Year Olds): Students learn new weekly Spanish vocabulary, outdoor exploration, geography, note taking, reading, gardening, farm animal play, story time, singing, dancing, and art — all in a Spanish immersion environment.

Come for one day or for both days! Families are strongly encouraged to come both days for better language acquisition.
El Jardín is a year-long program, with fall and spring semesters, with classes meeting from 10 am to 2 pm. Families must sign up for each semester separately.

El Jardín Summer Camp “Around the World” "Alrededor del Mundo" (Ages 4-12)
If you love El Jardin, you will love this unique El Jardin Spanish Immersion Summer Camp! Travel around the world with El Jardín as we explore the most famous Spanish countries and their unique animals, flowers, foods, music, dance, art, currency, and famous places! Campers will receive an El Jardín passport and daily stamps as we travel around the Spanish countries! Campers will join us for fun outdoor sports, games, activities, gardening, and art, all while learning about the wonders of Spanish countries and cultures!
